Fixing my Buick

The starter is starting to go out in my Buick Station Wagon. What's kind of neat about these old cars is that things are so easy to fix. When my car won't start all I need to do is tap the side of the starter a couple of times with a hammer an (so far at least) it fires right up. Try that with a newer car... The only problem has been getting a replacement starter. Almost no one lists a starter for the 62 Buick Special with the 215 V8. I finally found one at Napa but it had to be ordered and I've been waiting over 2 weeks and it's still not here. Another thing is that last Monday the water pump went out. That had to be ordered too, but at least it arrived the next day. It will be easy to change, probably do it tomorrow night after work.
So, I'm still looking for a family car. I love my Buick wagon but I need something that doesn't need to be pampered and that I can find parts for. It will be an older car because the older ones are so much easier to work on when they break. Also, it will be a station wagon. Even if I didn't have so many good memories of family trips in a station wagon from when I was growing up, wagons would still be the perfect family car in my mind.
